Mr S
Mr S, a 45 year old Managing Director, consulted Pippa with symptoms including fatigue, bloating and digestive problems including flatulence and nausea. He felt tired and lacked energy and felt he was not "firing on all cylinders".

After a thorough analysis of his questionnaire and diet, Pippa recommended that he reduced wheat and dairy replacing these with different grains and dairy substitutes. He also reduced his alcohol intake and increased his intake of water, fresh vegetables and pulses. He was advised to eliminate processed foods and ready meals. He was given a menu plan that fitted easily into his lifestyle. Supplements were recommended to improve his overall nutritional health and support his digestion.

After two months, Mr S's symptoms had improved enormously.   He had much more energy which was sustained throughout the day. The flatulence and nausea had disappeared and he found the changes to his diet simple to maintain.

Miss G
Miss G, a Sales Consultant, had always suffered from heavy periods with extreme pain, resulting in her having to take prescription painkillers every month. She frequently had to take time of work when she had a period. She desperately wanted to find the cause of her gynaecological problems rather than just treat the symptoms.

Pippa requested that she consult her GP for tests to eliminate the possibility of any underlying medical condition. Having ruled this out, Pippa suggested some changes to her diet to help balance her hormones. Miss G was encouraged to eat regularly and snack on healthy foods rather than cakes and biscuits. She substituted her normal coffee with herb and fruit teas.   Simply prepared home-cooked meals replaced the usual ready-meal or takeaway. It was suggested that she take a multivitamin and mineral and supplement of beneficial oils.

Within 3 months, Miss G reported that the pain and bleeding had greatly improved. She rarely had to use her painkillers and was able to carry on with work and her normal lifestyle.
